We had a lot of fun for Brett's birthday this year. Here is
what I got him:

Just kidding! I just rented it for the day but it
was a lot of fun. It is an amazing car that even I
fell in love with! We just went all over town and
played all day (and into the night) in it! Doesn't it
look good in our garage?!

Yummy & Patriotic Creations

Being done with school = having time for things
that I used to love to do such as making patriotic
treats! This is my way of showing my patriotism.

I finally got a job! I will be working at Banner
Good Samaritan in the PCU (Progressive Care Unit)
which is like a step down ICU. It is going to be a great
experience for me as a new nurse! I am super excited
and so grateful that I got a job in these crazy times!
I start on July 12th. Can't Wait! (except for the driving
to Phoenix part)

We're back! It was an absolutely amazing trip and I could
not have asked for a better way to celebrate being done
with school than going on a tropical getaway and doing
whatever I wanted!

This is our condo, it was quite large and very clean
which made me very happy! We never closed the
windows the entire time and just had a warm tropical
breeze blowing through!....Lovely!

We also had a hammock out front where I spent a lot of
my time reading....for fun! NO SCHOOL BOOKS!

and then grass grows on that . . . a lot of growing going on.

Looks like a nice lake right? Its rain runoff from the
volcano and will burn your flesh off. . . .yikes!

some crocodilos

totally doesn't work but it makes for some good

After a long day of being lost and finally getting to
the beach we headed back to the car to go home
and found a bunch of these little cuties which made
the day totally worth it

Our last day we went to the San Jose Temple, it
was gorgeous. I did the whole session in Spanish
which made me very proud of myself :)

Brett isn't wearing a tie because he gave it away to
a sweet young man going through for the first time to
leave on his mission to Honduras. They drove like 8
hours to get there and then had to go home. Going on
a mission and being temple worthy is a huge deal in
Costa Rica. There family was so sweet.

The trip was so much fun and now I can't wait for
my next vacation! I want to leave again today!

Sorry for the delay but here are some of the fun things we did in Cali!

Started off with a delicious HUGE ice cream from the

local burger joint. You can't even see Brett behind it,

thats how big it was!

Brett made friends with the local wildlife on the back

porch. It climbed right up that post to see him.

We may or may not have left some food scraps

outside in hopes of seeing a bear. . . but we got
this little guy instead.

We spent one day in San Francisco wich was fun!

First things first, we had lunch! Yummy swordfish!

It is time for me to apologize for my outburst about nursing school :) I was simply stressed out with my AWESOME research paper that I get to write in these final weeks of nursing school! For some reason I have an irrational hatred for writing papers, especially research papers. I was in the middle of this aforementioned paper when I suddenly felt the urge to publicly display my hatred :) So don’t worry, I didn’t get kicked out or drop out (as much as I thought about it) and I am doing fine in school. I am just exhausted and ready to finally be a nurse! I am currently about 8 hours away from leaving on my California/Spring Break/Getaway and I cannot wait! I have done all assignments due the rest of this week, all of next week, and the week after Spring Break so that I can thoroughly enjoy my time there! I am going to lounge around and do whatever I want and no one is going to stop me, or tell me where to be, or when I have to wake up, or make me do any 12 hour shifts! Woo Hoo! Lata AZ!

When I get back I will have pictures and something less boring to blog about! Yay!

Anniversary!

Its pretty late but Brett and I's anniversary was
on October 24th. To celebrate we headed off
to Sedona for the weekend! I absolutely love
being married to Brett and I hate to break to
all of you girls out there, but Brett Jenkins

is THE BEST husband in the whole wide world!

So my little brother got his mission call last week,

which is weird because he is still like 8 years old in

my head but I'm really excitied for him. He's heading to

Calgary Canada and he leaves January 20th.

I'm gonna miss that goofy kid :)

Cory Justin Jenkins, our dear brother, father, son,
and friend was killed in Afghanistan on
August 25, 2009 after his stryker was hit with an
improvised explosive device

Washington and Family!

We were finally able to go on a vacation! We went to Washington

to visit Brett's brothers family and see their adorable new

baby girl Reagan and particiapte in her blessing! It was such

a fun trip and we were so happy to just get to be there at

all being as its the only vacation we got to go on this whole summer!

Yes, school sucks, but we're almost done! yay! But it was great

and thank you Jeanne for making it all happen! Love ya!

I can't believe my little brother just graduated from Mesa High! I'm so proud! My sister and I made him this wonderful cake in congratulations! I know its no Heather cake but I was proud of myself! I even had purple and gold layers!

Vacation...FINALLY!

So Brett and I were finally able to go on a little vacation this last weekend! We went over to Carlsbad, California just for the weekend but it was well worth it! We flew in on Friday at about 4 and shopped around in Seaport Village and had some yummy mexican food! Saturday was bright and sunny all day, perfect for our day at the beach so we really enjoyed it! Sunday was slightly overcast and a little rainy which was perfect for lounging around before we had to leave! Thanks Jenkins family for getting the gorgeous condo and letting us come enjoy!

So Long Spring Break

So today is my last official day of spring break...sadness is all I feel. I loved the break but of course I didn't get everything done that I wanted to but here are a few things that I did do:

Had microwave smores with my hubby! Yumm!!!

Planted my cute little garden of a tomato plant and zuchinni, which by the way is going to die because I'm an idiot and planted it where it gets like zero sun, but I water it everday and I will take care of it until it is crispy and dead because I worked really hard on it!

Rushed to Urgent Care to meet my hubby and his burnt foot. Here's what happened, so he is driving a short bus on the 202 minding his own business when suddenly he feels like a scorpion bit his foot, so he looked down and a hose popped off of wherever it was supposed to be and radiator fluid was all over his shoe, needless to say its very hot and has chemicals in it that burned his foot pretty good. Luckily MPS is taking care of all of the medical stuff but that also means he has to go to the doctor all the time because they don't want a lawsuit! Well could be worse I guess, glad your ok love!

This pic doesn't do it justice, later it got the biggest blister I've ever seen and today the doctor had to lance it open and Brett said he almost passed out! Apparently the chucks underneath his foot were completely soaked! Thats a big blister! Wish I could have been there!

Gained an even greater passion for the tank game on our Wii....got my best score yet! :)

And OF COURSE....did some good old studying! What would I be without it?!...kicked out of Nursing School!!

No wonder I never BLOG!

This post seriously took me like and hour to figure out and two desperate texts to friends...yikes! Thanks Allison and Heather! :)

So I know I haven't posted in a few millenia but school has officially overtaken my life. However, I am proud to announce that I have made it through my first month of nursing school! Woo Hoo! I had two tests today and my brain is pretty fried so that's why I am blogging rather than doing anything associated with school. And yes those books are just for this semester and no, thats not even all of them. I left some in the car. Goodbye $800, I liked you a lot more than these stupid books!

Also, I have to say how much I love my husband. Today when I got home from school I found that Brett had cleaned, vacuumed and made the whole downstairs completely spotless! AND had a bouquet of roses for me because I had such a hard week with school....how adorable is he? I love him to death! And I love a clean house almost that much too! Thanks hubby!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree!...I love you!

So Brett and I finally got our first Christmas Tree so Santa doesn't skip our house! Its so exciting! Its absolutely massive and of course REAL! yay! Its Bretts first real Christmas Tree! We got it this week for family night. We didn't get around to decorating it for a few days but it turned out well. And tonight, we put the finishing touch on the top...the light up star! I'm kind of obsessed with it! It looks even better with all the lights off! Brett is currently wrapping presents for me to go under it! YAY! I love Christmas!

Marriage=The BEST thing ever!

So Brett and I were married about four weeks ago and it is the best thing ever! I absolutely love being married! The wedding was perfect and now we're livin' real life and lovin' it! I can't wait for all the rest of my friends to get hitched so we can be "couple friends" :)

I'm starting nursing school in January and Brett is finishing up his finance major at ASU and in the meantime yes, he drives short bus for MPS! Life is crazy but great and we're absolutely loving it!
